چکیده

It is believed that traditional centralized mobility management cannot satisfy the demands of mobile data traffic which has dramatically expanded for years and will remain at a high growth rate in the long term. And now many efforts are putting emphasis on developing distributed mobility management schemes. This paper discusses the advantages of multiple Home Address (HoA) allocating, which is considered as an important character of distributed mobility schemes, by a flow duration based model for the first time as we know. We think that most Internet flows are very short and the best way of forwarding them is using local HoA instead of tunneling to a home link as described in the context of centralized mobility management schemes. We summarize the two cases of distributed mobility management schemes, called the multiple-level tunnel and the direct tunnel and propose a new flow duration based model to evaluate their performance. For the purpose of analysis, we study the cumulative distribution function of Internet flow duration based on our campus real data. Numerical results show that the relatively low velocity and short online time scenario is more suitable for distributed mobility management, and the direct tunnel scheme can always get better performance than the multiple-level tunnel case and the centralized mobility management scheme. & 2014 Elsevier Ltd. A New Load-Flow Method in Distribution Networks based on an Approximation Voltage-Dependent Load model in Extensive Presence of Distributed Generation Sources

Power-flow (PF) solution is a basic and powerful tool in power system analysis. Distribution networks (DNs), compared to transmission systems, have many fundamental distinctions that cause the conventional PF to be ineffective on these networks. This paper presents a new fast and efficient PF method which provides all different models of Distributed Generations (DGs) and their operational modes...

Model Predictive Control of Distributed Energy Resources with Predictive Set-Points for Grid-Connected Operation

This paper proposes an MPC - based (model predictive control) scheme to control active and reactive powers of DERs (distributed energy resources) in a grid - connected mode (either through a bus with its associated loads as a PCC (point of common coupling) or an MG (micro - grid)). DER may be a DG (distributed generation) or an ESS (energy storage system). In the proposed scheme, the set - poin...

Flow Field Characteristics of an Aerospike Nozzle Using Different Turbulence Models

To improve the calculation of the flow properties of an aerospike nozzle, different turbulence models were investigated in this study. The primary shape of the nozzle plug is determined through utilizing an approximate method. The flow field is, then, simulated using the Navier-Stokes equations for compressible flows. The commercial computational fluid dynamics code Fluent is used to simulate t...
